The day before yesterday I saw an article in the press titled “DoT told not to de-licence E, V bands“. As per this article, promotors of this position want this band to be assigned through auctions. The objective of this note is to estimate how much the government will be able to collect if this band was auctioned. For that purpose, the auction prices of other spectrum bands can be used to extrapolate the price of this band, in absence of any direct reference price – being a new band.
